Chile's vintners have made little use of alternative energy sources. But six vineyards now plan to take on a pioneering role.The vineyards are working with the German development agency GIZ to develop methods which pay more attention to nature. Tarapaca is a small town 50 kilometers southwest of the capital Santiago. It is also the site of a project to replace fossil fuels with solar power and geothermal energy.
